Scrappy: *us*

The current challenge at Handmade Love is a scraplift challenge. I love scraplifting other scrappers and making the design my own. This challenge is to scraplift a page by Shannon. I love her style- it is feminine with lots of white space.

Supplies:Bazzill Cardstock, Pink Paislee papers, Prima flowers and pearls, Pink Paislee alpha, white pen.

As you can read on my layout, I'm really ready to be in the same town or state even as Ryan. I love the time we spend together and being away from him gets more difficult each time we part ways. I know that we belong together and I hate the distance between us.

Any tips for a (short) long distance relationship?

i love how sweet and feminine this turned out. your patterned paper choices are awesome! as far as advice, do yall skype?! that's really the only thing that got me and matt through living on 2 different continents. that and planning out when exactly we were going to see each other, that way we have something to look forward to. i hope that helps! although nothing will "feel" better until yall are both in the same place. {{hugs}}

Beautiful layout.

Oh - and I was in a long distance relationship, too. VERY difficult - but we weathered through it. The toughest part was when he (the U.S. citizen) was transferred to PA and I (then a Canadian citizen) had to wait for all the immigration paperwork to go through. We were MARRIED then - and I still had to wait in my country for 10 months! (Don't ask me how worked up I get with the "illegals" just coming over.)

My DH and I were college sweethearts and we were separated most of 3.5 years - it was HORRIBLE. Between work and child we don't get to spend as much time as we'd like together now, but at least I get to lay eyes on him and smooch him every single day of the year - it is worth the wait!!
