Book of Me

Over at My Scrapbook Nook they have started a Focus on Me Friday challenge. The purpose of the challenge is to create a book that is all about oneself. I am really digging this idea!

The first challenge was to create a "State of the Union" inspired layout that included at least five facts about life right now as it is.

Here is my layout:

many thanks

I made this card for my brother's Russian host mother in St. Petersburg. My mother wanted to send her a card thanking her for everything that she is doing for Caleb and I offered to make the card.

I used Basic Grey Bittersweet papers, Bazzill cardstock, Making Memories letters, Scenic Route chipboard house, and Maya Mist in brown. The ribbon was on sale at Wal-Mart and I had to pick it up because it was pink and would match the BG papers. I based this card off of Kazan's Sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You . I am also submitting this card for a new blog called Fun-Frilled. I think this card is both FUN and FRILLY.

Thanks for looking!

So BUSY!

I have some blogging to do to catch up with my scrapbooking.

First off, over at The Nook they had a Virtual Crop this past weekend. I didn't get to play as much as I had hoped since I spent the weekend with Ryan and his parents. I completed these layouts for a couple of the challenges over there:

I made this layout for Category Stories' February challenge using their journaling prompt. I chose to list the things I love about my darling boyfriend. I knew that I wanted to use this beautiful Jenni Bowlin paper for a Love List as soon as I got it in the mail! I'm so happy to have been inspired by Category Stories' challenge.

I created this layout for the Right At Home Scrapbooking layout challenge by Danielle Wycough. I really enjoyed putting these pictures on a layout because the memory was so fresh in my mind.

I guess that is all for now, I really need to try and sleep so that I will be refreshed for another great day of work and then a long night of homework.

Look at this blog!

Danielle at Life, One Layout at a Time has SO MUCH going on at her blog right now.

There is a sketch challenge for a Right At Home Scrapbooking giveaway. I'm going to work on my interpretation of the sketch tomorrow or Friday. I have a couple of ideas that I may try and sketch out tonight.

Then there is the Cricut Expression Giveaway!!! I would so love to win that! If she gets to 600 comments by February 20th she will randomly select a winner. WOW!

Life is so busy. I have subbed a couple of extra dance classes this week because the stomach bug is going around. Ew. I really hope I can avoid it.

Have I mentioned that I love my classes this semester? I'm taking Multicultural Counseling and Sexual Abuse Counseling. I am so passionate about helping children who have experienced trauma. I hope that I can be a resource for children and families as a Counselor.

I have promised myself some scrappy time this week and weekend. Hopefully I will get some great things completed!
